Default sixer questions

i know i can outrun a stock cavalier (stock V6 pony) but what about once they've had some ricer work? would i still take them because there are alot of cops around here and some very gutsy ricers so i wont race them with the cops around but if i were to find them elsewhere where would i hang?

you could still take them. those body kits generally slow the car down more with the added weight.

my first mustang was a 94 v6 auto with h pipes w/no cats and a flowmaster cat back. i raced my buddies 02 5-speed cavalier and lost from a dig (twice) by about a car length (to about 60mph or so). i'd walk him from a 40 punch though. the 10.5 cobra r's out back probably didn't help my 140hp slug getting off the line either. needless to say, old v6's are slow, REAL slow. but i don't know about the 99-04. the 05-06 are definately impressive. i raced one in my 5.0 last year and was suprised. don't get my wrong, i still destroyed him but he put up a better fight than i was expecting.

i used to have a 2000 2.2 cavy and it sucked it had 120 stock hp i had intake, headers, high flow cats, pulleys, and a stock mustang will out run it no prob. The 2.4 is a different story, they are petty quick. Im not sure about the 2002 up they have the eritica (sp?) engines which are 140 stock for the 2.2 but im still pretty sure a stock v6 mustang will beat one and if u have a 99+ mustang u should kill him
