A stock looking civic? They still have them? I thought all of them had fart cans 3 or 4 wings, 20" wheels and graphix. Yeah watch out for the powerful 50 shot! They can gain a whole tenth or more....

Well to build one of those it takes alot more $$$ than most anyone around here is willing to sink into a Honda. I wonder how much of the car is still there, you know under it. Did it look as stock as Owends car does? If so that is a sleeper in every sense, cause Owneds car might run a 15 if it has a nice tailwind and a down hill track...

the kid i ran had a bone stock single cam 1.6 vtec d16y6 ex hatchback. all he had was a $2500 turbo kit with a mitsu td04 turbo and intercooler. i was humbled by immaculate tuning. thats what it all comes down to. tuning! (and low weight) he probably weighed 1800 lbs.

$2500 for a turbo? I get a set of killer race heads for that much. Oh wait I also have like 7.5L too, so uh yeah apples and oranges and tiny vs huge. Hey at leat I am not compensating and driving a Vette....lol... Oh yeah and with an engine that initially cost $200 more than the Turbo I ran 11.91@115 in a much heavier car. Is that tuning or is it more intelligent?

But can you get 30+ mpg driving to the strip?

I was going to go to the strip today and run the stang for ****s and giggles, but instead I stayed home and did a bit of lightening it. Check the thread in 5.0 to see progress.
