Your not causing anybody to get upset. First of all I'm assuming your 1966 6cyl Mustang is good for about 120mph top end if well maintained correct? Most GT's are good for about 155mph. So in other words you would get smoked off the line and you would not be able to catch up. You do have one advantage . If your ride is cherry its definately worth more.

 

the speedo rates 140 but i have gotten it to 110 at night on the freeway. that was with a broken exhaust manifold and a holly 1 barrel sucking in trash with no air cleaner. right now my car is primer but im looking to get it painted springtime yellow. ive taken it to the drag strip and took a few passes nothing serious but im proud of what she can do

 

Get that Stang painted a nice high gloss ( laquer if you can find it) and you'll be turning more heads than any new Stang out (except possibly the new GT500)

Sorry slick but I have a 68 with a 289 with a few mods and I couldn't keep up with my brother driving my 96 so take your bs story to a rice forum where it belongs. B/c just like a ricer you are really fast at the top end with your powerhouse motor.

 

I understand what your saying about being faster later then at the start...but nah man... it's worse then someone saying a stock v6 05 can beat my mildly bolt on 5.0...

(and yes ive gotten into a HUGE arguement about a 05 v6 beating my 5.0, that's my only grudge against them) I can't wait to race one. damn

Your speedo goes to 140, your car wont. I'd guess it would be lucky to hit 100.
Anyway, how did you go at the track? Any numbers for us?

 

i only ran a few laps and i dont remember the rumbers but i hit 75 or so in the 1/4
