So last night i am coming home from work when out of nowhere comes a silver G35 (6 speed coupe). So naturally i sped up to try to catch him. We both came up to the next light and i pulled in next to him, i looked over and the kid wouldn't even make eye contact. I figured he wouldn't race me but the light turned green and he launched without me even knowing we were racing. he pulled about a car and a half on me before i could recover. I started to pull on him slightly in first, shifted into second and was even with his front fender, third i was about even and right before i shifted into fourth i had about a half car on him. when i finally shut down i was about a car ahead of him and i was going somewhere near 100

How much hp are you putting to your wheels..........Not that I dont belive you, I am not a big fan of the g35 and I do know they are heavy but dont they have 300hp --265 to the wheels....... Just was wanting to know what mods you have.....Good kill though

 

I cant stand when ppl pull that crapp. Thats the definition of sucker punch in racing when someone punches it when the other guy has no clue of a race about to happen. Most of the G35's around here are notorious for ricer fly by's.

okay... the g35 came out in 03' it came with 260hp with autos and 280 with a stick, in 2004 the numbers we're the same but, in 2005 the g35 came with a 280hp auto and a 298 hp with a stick granted they are heavy.. they still run a 14.2-14.6 qtr mile (depending on year and man or auto)

 

I agree........total bs ricer move.......But I dont see a 86 gt with as little mods as he has catching up then pulling on him.I guess I could belive it, but just curious what he is putting down with his mods. I think stock they have 225 hp so thats 175rwhp with underdrive pully 5 hp tops I think it would be tough to pull on a g35 after catching up to him........I know weight is a big factor, but those are mid 14's. Because off how old the Gt is I would think they are high 14's low 15's cars in stock

If it was true I would feel like **** having a 86 gt pull up next to me with very little mods and not only do i jump before we race then have him pull on me..........

 

Nice I am racing one on saturday and this kid swears he is gonna beat me.

 

Well in your case you are s/c so I would think you should have no problem
