Yea, turn all that crap off and also make sure your A/C off too. Go a couple of times cause you'll get better times the more you do it. In other words if you put an intake on and go back and get a better time it might be because you're driveing better and not complete because you upgraded your car. Also, you can take out extra weight like jack spare tire and run with a low tank of gas.

you should not need to go to overdrive in the 1/4 mile if you're bone stock, 3rd gear will get you to the finish line OK. you might not even need third gear if you're that stock. you might want to let some air out of the rear tires to get better traction. let the car cool down about 20 minutes between runs and make note of the engine temperature so you're comparing apples to apples when looking at the ET's. also make sure your coolant recovery tank is not too full so it won't overflow onto the track when the engine is hot, the track officials hate to clean up antifreeze spills and will give you some really dirty looks! good luck and have fun at the track!

saw almost that happen at the track last time i went

some probe blew a radiator hose clear off...
and coolant went everywhere
took like an hour for them to clean it up

also, what about my coolant prob round?
should i reuse that gasket and just use RTV on both sides of it?
plop it back on wait for it to dry and try it?

Keep it in the garage so it doesn't end up looking like a golf ball[sm=smiley36.gif]. lol

You might get that dimple effect that makes the air pass over more easily so your car will have less drag and go faster and improve gas mileage.
