So I’m driving down the street about to make a left turn when I see an srt-4 behind. I proceed with the left turn, step on it and level off at about 50. He very quickly catches up. I turn right onto another street, go at 5mph and wait till he pulls up. He revs, so do I. I dump the clutch, fishtail and right away get half a car on him, after speedshifting to 2nd I got another half on him and he could NOT catch up. We cleared 3rd and went into 4th when the road went into a sharp curve. He pulls up to me at the light and I asked him what he did to it as it obviously wasn’t stock. He tells me “exhaust, blow off valve, chip, and intake.” Then he says “I’m pushing 300 at the wheels (what a dumb ***), what do you have?” I tell him “just a stock GT.” He looked pretty amazed as he just lost with his so called 300whp srt-4 to a very nearly stock 00 GT (bored and polished t/b, plenum and a dirty k&n filter).

 

sounds like a good race, good kill, but he must use ricer math with his mods. id have like 250 hp if a cai really gave 15 hp, exhaust gave 20 hp, etc.

If he was pushing 300 to the rear wheels it could have gotten ugly!! But good kill anyways!!

 

He can't put 300 to the wheels. Not because the car isn't capable of the power but it is a FWD car. Only 1 drive wheel. I know a habit but next time a ricer tells you he is putting power to the WHEELS ask him if he did a RWD conversion. It confuses them. Quite funny to watch.

 

they are every bit capable of over 300fwhp. but they need a lot more mods than that. nice kill. i had kill just like it once, the guy looked like he was going to cry when i told him all i had was a catback.
