06gt vs. mazdaspeed mx5

06gt vs. mazdaspeed mx5
My roomate has a 04 mazdaspeed mx5 with a 2.5" borla catback and a flying miata 2.5" catted down pipe. otherwise its stock. He just got the catback so we went out looking for trouble to night. i didnt take my car like i normaly do beacuse i wasted 1/2 a tank on monday. so were rolling down the street and i see a blue 06 gt with a paper tag on the back so i say "hey that guy has a paper tag! that means he is sure to race and probably doesnt know how to drive his car yet." we finaly get next to him and i guess they both punched it at the same time. 50 or so mph roll it was dead even! lol. i was like wtf, the mustang didnt start pulling until like 90. This is why mustangs get a bad wrap. i can pull unlimited buses on this mazdaspeed. i couldnt belive he held with an 06. bad driver FTL.

the miatas also don't weigh nothing. they have somewhere around 175 hp stock. i don't know about torque. but they don't weigh that much. and turbo cars do respond well to minor mods. he could have easily picked up 15-35 chp depending on how restrictive the stock exhaust was

i dont know it was weird the kid looked so perplexed, i felt bad for him. i just wanted to tell him to learn to drive and you will do better. all i know is when my roomate and i go out looking of races i let him line up with some ricer boy and wait till they both get about 5 or 6 cars ahead of me then i nail it and blow past both of them. lol. My car should be no faster than an 06.
