all the c5's had the ls1, the c5 z06 had the ls6 and then c6 has the ls2 and the c6 z05 has the ls7

and the ls6 and ls2 pretty much make the same amount of power. Just the ls2 is newer, has a little higher compression, and has more power throughout the band whereas the ls6 starts making more power up top. I think the ls2 also has more displacement and valves.

347 ci for LS1 and LS6, 366 for the LS2 and 427 for the LS7<---- BADASS.... equals to 5.7, 5.7, 6.0, and 7.0 liters.... amazing how all the best corvette ( IMO ) have had some type of 427's

I was hangin out with my buddies and their cars and one of them has a 01 vette so we decided to race, his only mod is an exhaust which is basically just strait pipes, so we line up and have someone start us, i got a better start then him so i was hangin on to his doors for a while then we shifted and he pulled a car on me, by the end of the race he had about 1 and a half cars on me, i didnt think i did too bad for the weight and hp dif, definitly a fun run tho
lol . Was this the 2001 you raced (look below)? Excellent job keeping the race close with a 2001 C6. Now in reality if it was the one below in this sig you would have lost by a trainlength. I'm not going to explain about a Vette since the other members have explained already with accuracy except tl86gt.

The LS2 is a 364ci motor.

You must have a 2005 because I don't see "Those stinkin badges" (GM started putting those little square GM badges on their vehicles in 2006)
I love the cromies!!!!!

How do you like the Z51 package? I got the base suspention but I loaded up with the 3LT option package!!!

Happy Vette motoring Mustang Chris!!!! And don't forget the wave!!!!

Its an 05 and I always remember the wave! The z51 package is nice but I Havent been in a c6 without it so I cant tell you if I like it or not. I think all the z51 does is give you better brakes, a different gear ratio for the 6 speed, and different suspension.

Even if you got the base suspension, you can add the type of springs you want and probably make it ride nicer than the upgraded springs.

I can tell you that the car has had some problems. This week the AC just stopped working out of nowhere. The clutch was acting up, and a few little other things... but the warranty took care of it. I guess thats what you get when you get a car the 1st year its made.

Have you ever got in another car and when you start to drive you look at the windshield and forget that your not in the vette with the HUD?
