Well, I went to the track again tonight and I beat my old time but I still couldn't get into the 8's.

I'm thinking that's a little low for my car. What do yall think?

 

yeah thats a little low, i hit a 8.84@82 with my car with a 2.10 60 ft

I ran with the same mods you have but I dont have the gears
I ran an 8.700 my first time with the same 60' you have.
Theres gotta be something wrong your car should be faster.

 

you prob need a dyno tune...i was running a 9.4-9.6 until i got my tune , now i an running 8.8X's all day long.......the preadtor (or similar) "canned tune" just doesnt cut it

 

thats probably because your an auto and those tunes help autos a lot.
If a tune would help me as much as it helped you I would jump on that instantly!

 

If you have a manual than I can see why your times are quicker than Stanggang's, he has an auto. Yeah the gears and tune should help him and did, as he already posted he dropped into the 8's with his tune. Even though you have a manual doesnt mean the handheld tuner wont come in handy, I'm sure you'll drop .2-.3 in the 1/4 with it.

 

Hows come it seems what you wrote doesnt make any sense? LOL. You state you were running mid 9's before your tune, now your runnin high 8's consistently. Then you say the predator tuner just dont cut it. It seems to be cuttin it for you, by droppin your 1/8 mile times about .7, which I might add is pretty good. Just think of all the cars you wouldnt be beating if you didnt have that tune. I aint tryin to give you sh*t and you know it, [8D], but it just dont make sense to me, or maybe I'm just too damn tired and wish 8am would come alittle sooner.

 

i said that the "canned" tune that comes installed in the predator doesnt cut it. Its desinged to get more power of a stock-stockish car..leans out the A/F quite a bit......with the "predator tune" that came with the tuner installed, i made 225RWHP.....after i had the car dyno tuned (with the preadtor tuner) my RWHP went to 250....what i was trying to say is that the "canned" "one size fits all" tune is not going to help and may even hurt you on a modified car
