saw a vette last night on the way back from dinner, both of us were obeying the speed limit ( 65 ) after a quick glance at each other we took off. all through 4th we were dead even and as i shifted to 5th he started pullin. i shut down, and he did the same. prob. got to at least 95 or a hundred, not too sure though because i was really nervous and didnt even look at the speed. i was surprised.

not sure what year it was, but it had the old body style, so it could have been anything from 1998 to 2004. oh and it was a convertible.

 

95-100 in 5th gear?

 

damn i dont even shift into 4th till 105.

 

no, that was all thru 4th. i shut down as i shifted into 5th.
sometimes it gets iffy and i dont want to take my chances and end up blowing my engine.

but ya, we started in fourth hit somewhere over 95 and out of pure ignorance and partial fear i went into 5th and shut down. i didnt want to really push my luck.
+ we were kinda headin into traffic, but not for awhile.

i'm still ecstatic with the results.

Thats an excellent run Bullitt, especially from a roll (thats when the Vette is at it's best)!!! With your 4.10's the top end has more swing in the Vette's favor.

Along with tl86gt , I have the same question. Does the Bullitt have a higher rating over a GT?
