Well tonight I was driving around lookin for a race and I came across a new GTO. It was the one with the dual hood scoopes. I asked him if he wanted to run. He did and we went from like a 30mph roll and I walked him. He had 3 people in his car and I was by myself, he also said he was stock. I didnt think I would beat let alone walk on him. Does anyone else ever run one of these? I thought they were rated at like 400hp?

I drove an '06 a few weeks ago and not to offend anyone, but I just wasn't impressed. I expected it to slam me back in the seat. Maybe I was just in a lemon.

 

then it was an old model, with new hood, and a ****ty driver.

they are slow I walked one at the track with my T/C on lol he said lets do it agin so I said ok but my T/C was on we raced agin and pulled even more cars on him lol

 

Yea man I'm not sure myself about the 06 GTO since my buddy was at our track here in LA and he almost beat one in the 1/4 mile. He has a some bolt-ons and exhaust on his 98GT and he ran a 13.9 the GTO ran a 13.8 I was amazed LOL I thought a near 400hp car would be faster...

 

I have a buddy with a 05 GTO and it is an automatic. He ran a 13.00@106 with just headers and exhaust. They are quick so I don't know what happened in your case. I test drova an 06 GTO also and it was a dog. I was'nt impressed but maybe it just needs to be broke in real good before it'll open up.
