Launching question
This is probably gonna be a really dumb question to alot of people on here, so please try not to flame me too bad. I was wondering what some people's technique for doing burnouts? I've never really tried to do this much at all cuz I've not drove a powerful enough of car to do this (until now). But I drive an auto, I just figure it has to be hard than a manual to do. If anyone could just tell me kinda their technique for footwork, I would like to know... thanks.
well i taught myself using my dad's chevy pickup....... this is how i do it in an under powered overweight truck with wide *** tires on the back...... push the brake down far, give it enough gas to where the converter feels like its engaged and it starts wanting to move........ then, simultaneously, let off the brake completely and floor it.... the tires should break loose, then put light pressure on the brake pedal... engouh to keep you from rolling forward but not enough to make your tires stop spinning
burn-outs are actually easier in a manual....you just dump the clutch....but they can be harder to launch. Any car can do a burn-out like tl86gt said....usually the power braking method works. If you have a decent amount of power and crappy tires you can do a clean-out....which is just letting off the brake and then flooring it.
