Went to the track last night to test the new converter and ran the same 14.2 as before. What the hell is going on????

First off, how high is your stall set and this may be stupid, but are you reving up to as high as the stall is set?

i was wondering if he may had run a 14.2 maybe last year, late in the season on a nice crisp, cool night...and now with the stall he ran on a hot summer, mid afternoon...

That too Pat, the weather will have a big impact as well. We need to see both time slips to really know whats going on. BTW I may be racing a 12.5 index this year, heads up, pro tree, should be a good time.

exactly what Im thinking.
You can't go by that. Different converters (even if they are the same stall) react differently. Some like to be loaded others like to flashed, and tires will make a huge differance. For example, I have a 4000 stall in my car, but my drag radials can't handle more than a 2500 rpm launch. Even if I could get it to hold a 3500 rpm launch I doubt my 60 foot would pick up very much, maybe a couple of hundreths. Each car is different and you have to figure out what yours likes.

yeah, he is a sandbagger.lol
but i bet orlando is hot as hell recently, going by the trend lately. the 13.0@104 in my sig was in feb at OSW. during the summer there i was running 13.6-13.8@100. ITS HOT THERE.
did your mph go up any at all? what brand of stall?
