pretty funny stuff
i think the biggest mistake made by ricers is that they think simple bolt-ons give them significant gains, like someone at my old highschool had a prelude sh with headers CAI and exhaust and a sticker on the window and he swore up and down that
he could hang with anybody if not beat them, i think its lack of knowledge, but much respect to the tuners which do things th right way and know how to pick their battles my best friend is a tuner and he wont race american muslce unless
he does research on it and make sure it will be at least somewhat fair

I think Its all relative to what you like... I wouldnt say american muscle is above import power or vise versa... its all what you like and how you want to spend your money!! Which brings up a good point about imports and the potential for them to get good power without a great deal of money! I have seen and owed an import that would have without much effort handed a stock or slightly modified GT mustang of any year a beating. There is also the question of how far you are willing to go, and when you figure that out will you have to change internals... again something much needed in the GT motor over say the 4 banger I had in my car which could handle about 500whp before you needed to change some stuff (same with the SRT4 motor) and the wieght advantage you get with a 4 banger helps with speed when you dont have much money to spend on modifications.

gatta tell him that is how the world turns, there will always be a faster car out there.

I don't think it could be said any better, or eloquently...
My old TSi would walk on 90% of the folks on the 4.6 Forum.. All it had were a "few" bolt-ons.. Doesn't mean that I bragged, or flaunted it.. Now my goal is to make sure that another TSi won't walk on me... I'm sure they will, but as the quote says, "... there will always be a faster car out there."

Ohhh dont get me wrong I have much love for the mustang, heck I have a SC one in the family... I think the point I am trying to get accross in my own mind is I wish Ford had made the GT motor a little beefier from the factory adn able to handle a good amount of boost without having to change internals and such.
