not with 290hp..

LT1 6 speed corvette has virtually unlimited topend

i think the fastest someone ever brought one up to was around 170mph and it still had more to go?!?

just imagine a 6 speed C6 or Z06... they are silly fast

When dealing with the Corvette, it's safe to say there is no governer on them. My old Z06 was pullin hard at 162 so I doubt if one will kick in at 170. I haven't did a top speed test in my new Z06 but I'll take my buddies word for when he says he took his up to 186mph@ 5500rpm in 5 gear.

Just a heads up for you guys. All manual 96 Vettes had the LT4 engine with about 300 rwhp, the autos were regular LT1's.

Im taking my car to get dyno'd next weekend and he is coming with me in his vette, he claims it will put down 175HP to the rear wheels but i doubt it seriously i am guessing lower.

330 hp is what they were rated at, but most dyno'd damn near that to the wheels.
