So I'm rolling down the local cruising street with a buddy and we come up to a light next to a brand new Evo with dealer tags... a pretty nice looking car. I'm always down for a race, even when I know i'll lose, so when the light goes green I start out like normal but halfway through first lay into it and so does he. It was a pretty good race through 2nd, I had about 1/2 car on him, but as soon as his turbo spooled up I was toast (Plus he had 4 people in the car lol). All in all, a pretty fun race and seemed like a pretty cool guy giving the thumbs up afterwards... This is what cars, streets, and summer nights are all about IMO.

 

so, his car was new, had 3 or 4 other people with him, you had first kick, and he STILL pulled on you ?? duuuuuude. learn how to shift j/k. seriously tho, respectable loss. those cars are close to FAST stock. modded, theyre sick if the person isnt afraid to actually DRIVE it....

 

Good death. I raced a stock evo at the track and barely beat him, about a tenth. And I wasn't stock.

honestly , if u knew more about ur car, ud of started out in 3rd, turned it into a roll race , and beat him by 1/2 a car...
unless it was the new MR, different story there. I've pulled 3 evos from a roll, they're dirty from a dig tho

 

ive beat them up top. out of the whole they are crazy fast.

 

The EVO MR's are sweet looking cars especially when they get the Recaro seat upgrades (It's a factory option). I did pull on one hard from a roll from 55 up to 120mph.

 

I agree with HeadTurningV8. Try turning it into a roll race next time. Our cars stock suck from a roll. So much power loss with AWD plus he had 4 people in the car. I'm really surprised you actually found a stock EVO though. I don't see many of them.

I would hope so with an LS2. Even my LS1 will drag an Evo down from a roll. The Evo that I beat by only one tenth trapped nearly 4 mph slower than me, 102.62 to my 106.51. His 1/8 mile was better than mine (8.669 @ 82.12 mph vs my 8.725 @ 81.62 mph) but I ran him down at the top of the track.
