I have been talking to someone who keeps bragging about eating mustangs up on the street for lucnch. it really makes me mad because I know they do it just because I have a Mustang. Anyways they are claiming they will run 11's or 12's stock in a 1/4 mile. Is that true? they also claim that the Automatic GTO is faster then the Manual GTO? WHAT???!!!!!! that makes no sense to me that any car would be faster with an auto. They say the Manual has a 5 second delay? i am cluless? they wont go to the strip though? why not? i know it will smoke my 99 auto mustang gt heavy convertible, but I told them I just want to see how i would hang with it. they wont go. Anyways if anyone knows anything about those cars please let me know...anything tell me anything about them, i know their real fast but i think this person is exaggerating to tick me off. thanks guys

 

I think they are like 13.1-13.4 stock in the 1/4. Last time i was at the track the guy i was talking to had: dr's and intak and ran 13 flat and he kept complaining about the track being slippery.

 

Yea i highly doubt they run 11-12 1/4 mile, but yea they probably were just pissing you off, which it seems like it did work[8D] haha but you gotta remember something, he owns a PONTIAC!!

 

Yeah, I would say they run 13.3-13.5 with manual, a little higer with autos.

Those turds are smoking crack. There is no way in hell their running 11's . And as for 12's I have never seen it but I have heard with a PERFECT launch , favorable track and climate conditions someone has managed a 12.9, but its rare.

 

yeah i believe sideways on here said he got a 12.9 timeslip yet i've never seen it. Most of the guys i see driving them have manuals and they are high 13s usually check my sig down there i have a video of my track run and the guy next to me in the 05 GTO Stick got a 14.0 and it looks like he got a pretty good launch. I have heard the autos are quicker because unlike our stangs they have a 5 or 6 speed auto in there which is alot better then our 4 speeds autos we have in ours. So i could see the auto being quicker.
