GTO Kills
I have been seeing a ton of GTO kills in the last week that it has replaced the SRT4 as the car with the most beat downs by GT's (Were not even talking Cobra's). Now I can understand a S197 GT with full bolt-on's giving a GTO a good run for the money but when I'm hearing stock GT's beating LS2 GTO's all I can do is sit back and LMAO. Did GM pull a 99 Cobra stunt here or have all these GT guy's been running into Crash Test Dummies driving their GTO's

in all honesty i think the drivers around me suck...there is only one guy i know of with a GTO 6 or 5.7L who can drive it, (low 13's stock) but for the most part i have seen ALOT of mid 14's out of these cars.....who knows

would you like to see the time slips of me raping ls2 gtos by 5-10 car lengths. given, i was def a better driver, but ive done it from a roll on the street too by 2-3 car lengths up to 120. yes i raced an ls1 gto once, but it wasn't even a race, likened to races with stock srt4's. i have 375 at the crank and really hot gearing, so its not a fair race with an ls1 gto unless its modded well.

the ls2 GTO and 05+ mustang gt are close to one another.... im sure it wouldnt be that hard for someone to win or lose based on driving, in either car.
also yeah, we all know that every gt prior to the new one wouldnt win, but at the same time, most of the people on this sight dont have stock cars. sooo if a modified gt beats a gto, its not to hard to believe.

the LS2 GTO is extremely difficult to launch and such, so for the first 50 MPH a stang might take the goat with a bad driver. thats the only reason i can think of.
an LS1 GTO vs. an s197 GT is a win for the stang; at least thats how i understood it.
