I am just dropping in to vent. No vids or stories.

I am getting sick of folks saying..."Oh, that Cobra was S/C...do the same to a CTS-V or LS1 and see what happens...

Well, remember folks, were sporting much less cubes than you are...some N/A and are still whooping a$$ or keeping up.

FLAME ON
For some reason, Ford engineers decided that making engines with less displacement (but not with smaller outside dimensions) was a good idea. Dee dee dee. They finally realized, however, that forced induction actually is a good idea.
My point? Don't flame a motor for utilizing cubic inches (as well as the superior breathing characteristics of the LS series cylinder heads) or forced induction. If your car sports neither, then you should have made a wiser purchase.

For what it's worth, this is why LS1's make such good power. Yes the cubes help, but they flat out flow a ton better than the 5.0 heads and the 2V heads.

Lets not go through this again guys. There are many ways to get fast or faster. The LSX platforms are large and powerful and the supercharged Cobras are strong and efficient. Several things can be done to both. I doesn't matter which one is eaiser to mod because if your pockets are deep, it will be pretty easy to mod anything. Enough with the Civil wars. Ford and Chevy both do good things in different ways. Thats why I bought a Vette and a GT. I love them both.

I hate all the idiots who say "well the LS1 has 346 ci and I only have 281 so losing to it by 4 cars isnt bad"

I tell ya what impressed me was how much power they get out of the rotary rx-8 engine. I looked in the engine bay and was like "where's the engine??"

I'd like to see what a 4.6+ liter one of those would do. I think it would be crazy!!

I fully agree with the "Run what you brung" sentiment...

Regardless of what you have, how you got it, or how much you spent on it, when it comes down to it... Did you win? or did you lose?

"But it was raining.. I couldn't get traction and he was AWD.." = he was either a better driver, or had the faster vehicle given circumstances. Either way, you lost.
"He had a supercharger and i didn't.." = WAA. Stop whining. he was either a better driver, or had the faster vehicle given circumstances. Either way, you lost

When it comes down to it, does any of it matter? you still lost. When I had my truck I used to love taking it out in the rain and getting RWD sports cars to race me.. Mustangs.. camaro's... Drop it in 4by and run. There vehicle may have been infinetally faster and more powerful, but I had the advantage of traction...

In dry.. they had the advantage of... everything else.. No, I didn't complain when they beat me.

But then.... no matter what im driving, ill race just about anyone in anything... Even if I know ill lose.. Might as well see just how much faster the other car is... Any excuse to mash on the gas... (in safe situations)

That's EXACTLY what the last Honda I outran told me. Go figure!

It's not our fault you bought a slow *** car that'd cost you a second mortgage to make fast. Quit bitching and get to working on making your car respectable. So hopefully, you won't get your *** spanked by a family sedan, such as my Maxima.
