I'm ridin home tonight and this car (dont kno exactly what it was) maybe a mazda something ?? lol but anyway he starts revvin at it then drops it and take off I dont feel like goin from a role but the light up ahead go's red I get next to him and he ask's if I'm ready I just laugh ...light turns yellow on other side I keep the rpms around 2700-3000k and let the clutch out slowly and get a damn good launch put about a car on him when I shift out of 1st put 2 more when I'm out of 2'd and by the end of 3'd I have at least 6 cars on him ...I brake and get my speed back around 60 and he yells "damn that thing gots some grip" and he's like lets go from a role....

this is were the story gets reeeeeeal good the place were he wanted to go from a role theres this nice lil spot were cops like to hide where theres no way u can c them at night until its to late there not there alot of times but for some reason I got a bad feelin about it tonight so as the kid drops it a gear thinkin that I'm gonna race again he fly's right by the spot and sure enough right when the cop saw him my radar detector wents nuts and I got a K band the kid kept on goin thou prolly tryin to out run the cop which I think he did cuz I kept goin down the highway for like 10 min and never saw the kid or the cop so who kno's what happened ...

I'm just glad as hell listened to myself when I got that uneasy feelin or otherwise I would have either gotten a HUGE ticket or I would have tried something stupid like that kid did when he blew past the cop.

 

damn! that was crazy... here where I live if they catch you street racing they give you a $1,000 ticket, inpound your car, and they suspend your license for a year - I also think you get 1 lucky day in prision (24 hrs.)... it also depends on how fast you were going, but pretty much if your over 100 mph your toast

I have also being lucky, some times I'm speeding and for some reason I slow down and suddenly *bang!* a COP in the corner, close call *Lucky me*

 

we all have a little intuition if thats what u call it. but some dumb *** ppl dont listen to it. you know that funny fealing u get right before you street race thats it . you are not really nervous so much about racing its that cop pulling outta dunkin donuts down the road you are sencing . i need to get a radar in my car i have one but the sucktion cup keeps falling off and its really old. lol

Where I live, they fine you $800, suspended license for 1 year and you spend 24 hours in jail & your car is impounded.

It's $90 to get it out and $70 for everyday it spends there.

 

Yeah..but just how well do those radar detectors really work? And how do they work? Do they pick up signals from the cops radio ..is that what sets them off?

 

uuhh... the radar? yeah, I think thats what stes them off.

 

A radar dector does exactly what the name implies. Detects radars, it only works if the cop has his radar on.

So if he is cruiseing in steath mode and flips the switch when he is right on you. You are screawed!!!!(I know from expreicnce).

The best thing to get is a radar jammer. That is my next "mod".

 

I got busted for racing when I was 18, got a $580 fine and 80 hours of community service [:'(]

I wasnt even speeding, nor did I lay drag. Never broke the tires loose, never exceeded 40mph. But, because I was racing a car from 10mph - 40mph, I got charged and it stuck.

 

thats really really weird MD cause last night i was speedin like crazy ( it was like 2 am...) and i felt the exact same feeling and i slowed down, and a cop car came out of a street...since yesterday night i get scared whenever i want to push the gas pedal...this sucks cause now im worried for every corner...i only can spped on certain streets where there are no cross streets so im sure theres no cop cars...i know speedin for no reason seems stupid but i like the feeling...you know what i mean!

 

ohhh man one time i was on the highway at 2 in the morning going about 110 i was takeing my GF home and she lived far away and we were running late. her mom used to flip out when she wasnt home on time. she was asleep in the passanger seat and i was trying to stay awake. so anyway this vehical with high headlighs starts gaining on me and i was like what the f*ck im going 110 already what the heck . and he got right on my ***.i had my old fart radar detector at that time and i didnt slow down but to about a 100 and then buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuzzzzzzzzzzzzzz beeeeepppppppppppp my radar went crazy. i was like ohhhh sh*t its a cop ohhhh sh*t. i slowed down to 70 and the he just went in the right lane and drove right passed me. it was a highway patroll in a bronco and he went right passed me. i was like noway he went right passed me. i dont know why he didnt pull me but lets just say i drove 70 the rest of the way on that highway that night lol.
