Do me a favor and look up Viper/Saleen on this forum. Unlike yorself he actually owns a Viper...AND and E. And the vette nor the E have "plastic" seats. That would be the pedal-car you drove to day care this morning.

Ha ha ha a Porche 911 turbo running a 12.3 , Sorry man but don't take these numbers to seriously a Porche 911 turbo is DEEP in the 11's and so is a ZO6 as well. Let's just stick with what the car is capable of shall we. There are documented times that both these cars run well into the 11's....................end of debate.

As I mentioned in another thread, Road and Track magazine just did an America vs Europe shootout, with several days of all around testing. The Z06 was one of the American cars listed. It went head to head with 3 European cars; the Gallardo, an F430 ferarri and a 911 turbo. The ferarri and gallardo both beat the vette's in lap times, both by about 2 sec. In 60-0 braking, the Gallardo and 911 beat the vette. In 80-0 braking, all 3 beat the vette. In the slalom, the vette tied the F430, but lost to the Gallardo. On the skidpad, the vette measured .97g. The F430 was at 1.00g, the Gallardo was at 1.03g and the 911 was at .97g. The 1/4 for the vette was 12.2 @ 118. The f430 was 11.9 @ 123, the Gallardo was at 12.3 @ 115 and the turbo was at 12.3.
This is all real world testing. The vette is certainly impressing for its price. But it's not the standout that a lot of people expect it to be. Face it, the Italians have their **** together.

Yea, and the seriously dark blue one that passed me headed south on 95 through Richmond at lunch time had pink polka-dots! [sm=alcoholic.gif]The truckers were freakin' on the CB (I was in my truck monitoring th PoPo activity). Seriously HOT car.
