lt1 vs 97 cobra
I was almost stock in my 97, just drag radials, cone filter, 4.10's, and no mufflers, and I was pulled a 13.7 @96.x .. the slowest trap speed I think I had in that car.. Usualy trapped higher so it probably had more in it.. if your times are right.. and that car is a full bolt on car.. if the guy can hook at all, I would give him the edge..
I only raced on LT1.. and i screwed up big time.. I made a nice long rant post about it. It was vs a 95 auto vette... vette had minor bolt ons (I know he had headders back exhaust with the catback being borla)... and I should have taken him.. THe guy doing hte count messed me up... and thats not an excuse, the guy said we should have ran again.. I went on three.. he dropped his arms on go..... so slammed my breaks, then went again.. gave the vette a nice jump on me.. then tapped my revlimiter in third paying to much attention to the road... still only lost by a little bit.

before i put the vids, yes he takes me on spray. u guys can take guesses on the outcomes and lengths.

not sure if u guys can hear it in the vid, but when i am on the bottle my car sounds like a machine gun. it pulls then dies off, pulls, etc. definetly not running right. anyone had a similar problem?

Looks like I was on the money about the NA race[8D] I'm not even sure why you guys decided to do a run with him NA and you on the bottle.
I'd definitely look into what's up with your car when on the nitrous.........somethings clearly not right. I don't know if it would have made a big difference in the N2O race at the end, but your car is missin' pretty bad on that run.

It's probably your ECU pulling timing to avoid detonation. I know the sound, I hear it from souped up SRT's on dyno's all the time before they are tuned correctly. I have also heard it from a TT Camaro that was having spark problems, so that could be it. Try some cooler plugs and see if it goes away, if not, I would get it on a dyno with a tuner.

and i have a mallory 685 pulling 5 deg timing and also running NGK tr6's gapped at .035. I have all the safety equipment/devices.
the hotter my car gets the more it acts up. and i am starting to lean towards it being way to rich and fouling the plugs. well see, taking it to the dyno soon.

somewhere @ 120 at the tires. but all the popping and surging that goes on, brings it down to about 80/90 by my track numbers.
went to the track last night got 2 runs in.
N/A 13.3@101 1.87 60 ft
N20 12.9@109 2.1 60ft and i didnt spray outta the hole, sprayed it at the top of first once i got traction. track went to **** after my first pass.
p.s. thisblood........ we talked before the runs and were supposed to go N/A first pass, then spray the rest of them. so the 4th run where he sprayed, i purposely ran him N/A just to get him back for ****ing with me, haha.
once i get my car running right there will be more runs and i dont see him on taking me on the bottle, time will tell
