Corvette Went BOOM!
Just now In South Florida it started pouring. There is about 2 feet of water inside our neighborhood, some water going up to our neighbors doors. My dad turned into our neighborhood and hydrolocked the vette. The intake is just inches from the ground. So we left the car sitting there and when the rain goes down we will go look at the damage.
A friend of mine did that to his civic. He tried taking the plugs out but they were somehow suctioned in. When he hit the hey they came flying out with quite a bit of velocity, one plug we never found. He just kept cranking and it reminded me of those foutains that shower in patterns. We ended up pulling his car with a truck up the hill with water pouring from the fart pipe. We still tease him to this day about his H-18 swap shop-vac. Sorry to hijack, just thought I'd share.
We were able to crank it up today. It sounded like **** for about 10 minutes and white smoke was coming out of only one exhaust side. I cant describe the smell. It was ticking pretty bad so We just let it idle there for a few minutes and the smoke wouldnt go away but the engine was able to stay at the same RPMS. then we started giving it a little gas and drove it around. It seems to be fine but I think it will never perform like it did new, because thats what happend when my friend hydrolocked his car.

sorry. couldnt resist. that really would put a damper on someones day tho. what year 'Vette ?
