It's stupid and everyone knows it. But what can we do?

 

Well look at the pic of the black car, see how the front end is coming up? 9's in the 1/8 doesnt look like that unless you have an extreemly light car and very little power. Otherwise it would be runnin alot faster if it had more power. Get it? 9's in the 1/4 arent so badass anymore, especially in the midwest. The serious guys are running faster than 9's, alot faster. All they do is street race. Still for the average joe, like most of us, 9's are unimaginable and scary fast. If you are used to drivin a 15 second honda and you take a spin in an 11 sec V8, unless you are some sort of speed junky, you will nearly crap your pants and be totaly unprepared for what is about to happen. 9's feel like you got rear ended by a truck and shoved by a bullet train for a 1/4 mile. Yeah he runs 9's in the 1/4 and if a TT 468 cant run bottom 8's he doesnt have a clue how to build a car or engine...

Well said Myst I ran a 9.1 last night at the track. Its a really crappy, uphill, slow track. Thats 9.1 in the 1/8 :P . I was pulling 14.5 at the end and was pissed. My norm is low 13.7s. Im never going there again.

I know the feeling of being unprepared...both my older brothers strapped a 400 into a 1975 "chevy" Vega....talk about unprepared..that phucker took off like a rocket when mashed the gas.. I wish i had that car now...would suprise many Maros and Ricers in that stock looking beast.
