Default First time at the track

Hey everyone, well i went to the track, i am dissappointed at my times. Granted it was one of my first time out there. Here is my info

RT: .4273
60ft: 2.6565
330ft: 7.2410
1/8 et: 11.0492
1/8 mph: 64.62

elevation is approx 800'
humidity approx 75
temp approx 85

That was my fastest run. Won it, just due to the other guy getting a red light. Any comments for improvements and maybe explanations as to why i am running so slow??

i did a total of 5 or 6 runs. the last one was my best 1/8et. Right before i was about ready to run, the bike that took off in front of me well, his fender shattered. so i had to back up and i think i dipped into the water box. I did spin bad on that one so i am thinking i may have been able to pull off .2 secs faster. Another thing is that the whole night i was riding with someone, except for that last run. from what i have read is that the 3.8's run like 15.5 and on in the 1/4. I think that equells out to like 9.8 in the 1/8. My question is, would the elevation, temp, and humidity cause me to lose a second? Also, is there anyway to calculate what my time would be like at sea level and with a humidity of 0%?

http://www.modulardepot.com/density.php
also for to look up past weather, use http://www.wunderground.com/ then just enter tracks zip, scroll down to history and alminac, enter the track day. and you will find most the info to check on the corrected times

uncorrected and corrected mine it .543 seconds off on the 1/4

practice those launches, 2.6 needs some work. try getting it to a 2.3, then see if you can get it any lower.

You 60 foot is terrible, my guess is that you can pick up about .5 just from getting the launch down.

Brother,

I run better in my wifes 99 Galant!!!!!! Your 60ft is horrible. You need to learn how to launch your car. Once you get that down you will see better times....
