man, I knew my car was slow but damn!! but buddy has a 2000 SS slp 6 speed. mods consits of MAF, intake lid, smooth bellow, borla exhaust, afs black zr1 17x9 and 17x11 wheels. anyway. damn 1st was pretty even and 2nd I was still there but 3rd and 4th, he was out by at least 1 1/2 car lengths. oh well. I didnt have to pay 30grand for a car just to beat a 8 year old car with 80,000miles on it and pretty much stock

oh....and those srt-4s are a mid/high 13 car stock. My buddy has one..NASTY!!!! he ran a low 13....but trapped 110. hopefully he'll be in the low 12s with slicks

yea, I was thinking the same thing mdvaldosta --- I think at least by 10.5 cars, consider that the gt is stock and that the ss has all those other mod's.

 

Those mods on the SS are only worth maybe 1/10 or two at best, that what I have on my SS it's an 01 though. I agree though it does'nt sound like the SS was trying too hard And I only paid 16k for my car

 

My buddy boguht his 00 ss for 20k with 27k miles. (He coulda got it for 18 but hes dumb.) Im faster from a drag but see ss tail lights on the freeway. Hes got catback and lid. And ya he should of smoked you by multiple cars. Those things are low 13s stock.

 

his car is mostly stock. Mine on the other hand has 3:73, eaton posi 31 spline with moser 31 spline axles. t45 cobra trans, centerforce clutch, intake, mass air, injectors, headers, o/r hpipe, flows. Yes I lost, but I held my own....and yes my friend CAN drive. he ran 13.3.
