06 V6 top end?
Hey mustangman02232, you say the new v6's are high 14 sec/low 15 sec cars. What causes them to run halfway decent 1/4 mile times but are so horrible top end? My 96 gt is probably a high 14/low 15 sec car and I've had mine up to a little over 120 and it was still pulling hard.

Based on teh races I have had slightly faster than an NA Cobalt SS manual. (from a roll)

how fast are the 06 v6's?
i drive my sisters (its auto) every once in awhile and i got on it once on the highway and it pulled decently till alittle over 80... it took forever to get to 100 in the car. do they just not have the power to get much over 100 or something? haha.

I know you didn't ask me, C6 Vette, but I've read that the 03-04 Cobras are governed to limit top speed to 158mph. And since a bone stock 03 Cobra will hit 150 mph in 30.5 seconds (according to Car and Driver), you can hit that limit pretty quickly if you're a speed-crazed maniac.
I've heard that this is due to the tire speed ratings, but I've also head that the cars simply aren't safe at such high speeds without a wing to provide more downforce on the rear, such as on the 2000 Cobra R's (which have an ungoverned top speed of about 176mph).

Is there such a thing as a N/A Cobalt SS? I thought all of the SS's were supercharged.
