Newbie question
Ok I know I'll get laughed at for this one but here goes.
I am seriuosly looking for a project car, preferably a 87-93 to keep streetable but still be able to pull the front tires at the strip on drag radials. I know power adders such as nitrous is the most effective way to go. My thoughts were a 347 with a 150 shot with a working suspension and 4.10 gears. Do you guys think this would do it or do I need more to accomplish this. Any good imput is appreciated.
My previous best time with a 98 GT was a 13.01 @ 106 not very impressive. I also had an 03 Mercury Marauder go 12.8 @ 115 which is pretty good for that car.
Thanks for the help, I want to get the project started on the right to begin with.

thats some good times... HOLY SHAT wtf do you have done to that merc? id say slap some slick on that bish, lighten the front, work over the suspension and work on pulling the wheels on that beast... that would be the coolest thing ever.
With a Well built 347, gears and a bit of suspension work you could lift the tires. Dont even need the shot to do that. Of course it is the best way to lower your quarter times. And yea, 13 flat is a 98 is very good. And post what you did to the merc to run 12's. Big engine and even bigger shot of nitrous?
