dude followed my for quite a ways trying to get a race. we pulled off a one lane road(him behind me) on to a bigger road with a straight shot. i knew when he was going to try to come from behind me and try a fly by(import guys don't believe in pulling up even...). i hear his exhaust(definately aftermarket) when he guns it and he jumps into the far lane. i let him get to about my door and then jump on him doing about 30(30 rolls suck in my car, its at the very bottom of 2nd). surprisingly i put about 2 cars on him in 2nd gear and about two more in 3rd. let out about 80ish cause the road got a little sketchy. guy was a good sport, rolled down his window and gave me a wave after the race.

Nice kill man. I bet most people think your car is just a regular old 5.0 with exhaust and thats it, kinda like a sleeper if you ask me.

 

How quick are those RX-8s? Not taking away from your kill, but I ran across one the other day. He was driving fast everywhere and hitting gears hard until I caught him then he got real quiet and wouldn't race me. I'm only a V6. Looking at your mods he should have had a few lengths on me, right?

By the way... GOOD KILL!! glad he was a good sport about it. People get too up tight about their car and act like their car is the ****, until they get beat that is, then they get pissed off.

I think the RX8 would get you by about a car or 2, their not that quick, but their not slow.

 

The first few auto RX-8's were game for edge sixers the manuals are a bit quicker

 

RX-8's are wayyyy over-rated. I've test driven one and was not impressed, however it is not a slow car. Nice kill!

 

Within a week or 2 I am hooking up a wideband to my car, I have way more than you with much less hp, lol (I think its pig rich, less power WOT than half throttle. secondaries are jetted 70...). Your advice to get a tune will be taken even though im giving the car away and going LS1 this summer.
