first time at the track
well i went to the track for the first time. im dissapointed with how i did. my best with the mach was a 13.807 at 104 mph. that was my BEST and i consistantly ran low 14s. even when my launches are good, i rarely ran 13.9. im crossing the line in 3rd at redline, so im wondering if i should shift into 4th at about 6 grand to get back into the powerband for the last couple 100 feet? from first to 2nd i shift right at redline and fom 3nd to third i shift at 6 grand. wat do u guys think?

based on your times.. i'd say you need 1 mod to get mid-low 13's
and that's a set of BFG or MT Drag Radials
(once you get more comfortalbe with your car you'll do alot better too.)

i went to the track for the first time yesterday also and made a best of 12.31 at 115.04 and that wsa a 1.93 60' on street tires. and in 100% street trim including the garage door opener on the visor and the spare in the trunk.
just keep working on that luanch thats the key to a good time imo.
my first run of the day i ran a high 13 because i spun all the way into 3rd gear because i just tried to rev up and dump the clutch of the line. just practice a bit and get that 60' time down under 2.0 and you'll be looking good.
