im currently running 13.6 in my 98 cobra its been as low as 12.9 thats what the owner b4 ran it but im still learning how to race it im adding a supercharger in it soon how much will this help me, what will i be running any ideas

 

First you should figure out the .7 difference; that is a lot for just a different driver. I would learn to drive it before adding 150 hp or so.

 

Sounds like you're in the same situation my buddy is in. Last October he bout a SS Camaro that was built buy a guy named LT1 Dave in Cincinnati Ohio. After LT1Dave built it, he ran a consistant 11.4 at the track. He sold it to a guy and that guy ran a consistant 11.42 at the track. Well then my buddy bought the car. The guy my buddy bought the car off of ran just ran it a month before at the track and pulled of some mid 11 times. My buddy took the car to the track after he got it and the best he could run was 12.7. Him and a few other people think the cars power decinigrated within a month. [sm=smiley21.gif] The guy thinks he can driver but really can't. Now he wants to put a SC on it to get in the 11's.[sm=bangbang.gif][sm=chairshot.gif] I can't convince him to learn to drive the car to get into the 11's with out it because the car has the power for it. Oh yeah, the guy he bought it off of had just put in a $900 clutch and my buddy replaced it back in march and it already needs to be replaced. He just needs to get rid of the car. Unless the car has been de-modified or has some kind of mechanical malfunction than yes, you should be able to duplicate those times. Unless you're running in much worse weather/altitude or something.

 

well .7 sounds to me the 60 ftr is the problem....if you are getting 2.** 60's and the prior owner was getting 1.80's then the times would be very diff. as long as the hp was hurt somewhere along the line

 

would it have much more of a distance if the prior owner was using slicks or dr when he ran

 

major diff. you have streets on it?.....what's your 60???now

 

yes ive got street tires on it and my 60 foot time is 1.990
