Alright my stepbrother keeps wanting me to race his buddy he works with. For some reason the guy with the 2001 sentra spec v says he kills 5.0mustangs all day long. He told my stepbrother that he would own me on the highwayand i wouldnt have a chance ? He says he has a CAI and a chip and exhaust. Idont know too much about these cars so any information is appreciated. I have a 1990 mustang 5.0 convertible 5.0 (7up edition). I have the following
BBK underdrive pulleys
3.73gears (just installed last week)
Gt40 heads 1.6 RR
TFS stage 1 cam 229 duration, 512 lift
BBK headers shorty headers,free flow catsinto a bassani Xpipe, into dual Borla catbacks
B@m short shifter
255 lph ful pump, FPR, AFPR set at 35 Psi
12 degrees timing advance
Ford Racing radiator, Lower t,stat
Intrax suspesion all the way around
What do you guys think ? Is it worth my gas ?

the SE-R Sentra is the fastest version, and it runs 14's - MAYBE... not exactly sure - but I don't think you should have a problem unless he's seriously got somethings done - maybe he's racing the 4cyl fox bodies and thinks they're 5.0s, lol

With your mods you are gonna really whoop his ***, unless he has more than what he is telling you. If you were stock, he would beat you. This guy around here has a Spec-V Sentra and runs 14.5 in the 1/4 mile with the same mods your brothers friend has. The Spec-V version of the Sentra responds to mods just like the RSX Type-S.

My buddy had a spec V and they run low 15's. Couple of mods will get you in the high 14's. They are heavy and have less than 200hp. There are SE-R and spec V's. They both say SE-R but the spec V has more HP.
