Wouldn't this be good? The two better american car companys getting together to try and take back control from toyota/honda.

 

I don't think (if this actually happens) they'll crossbreed... I think it'll just be financials - so they can both reassure one another of not going bankrupt...

 

Give camaros the 4.6 3v and give ourselves the LS9 for the stangs. [&:]

I wouldn't mind seeing some of the cross breeded cars coming out. A SS mustang would be pretty sweet.

 

Bingo. But there is envy between GM and Ford. So some(new) products may reflect the breeding and shared information.

 

Screw that, all we need is a Camaro with an 8.8' Already has the better motor/tranny/chassy

 

Ford/Chrysler isn't bad, but i have a thing for hating GM that makes me tick...


p.s....there is no camaro, so everything about a mustang is better.

 

But the Mustang has already been re-designed, and has production lines set up. It would be cheaper to go LS in stang.

 

Because it has been Ford vs. Chevy for 100 years. If that changed, then tidal waves would rise and volcanoes would explode.

Guys, IF by some freaky chance something like this occured..

like someone else said, there is NO way that GM and Ford loyalists would let the companys live it down if they altered the existing (ESPECIALLY the mustang, corvette, F-150, or silverado) and mixed them up with products from the opposing side..

i remember awhile back i made a thread in off topic about GM/Ford merger, and it got nothing but jeers and negative comments about eliminating the competition, and increasing prices...

wonder what has changed, because even then we all knew that the foreign auto makers were steadily increasing their market hold..

(on another note, what would happen to both stock prices if they merged,, would they jump heavily? or drop?)

 

There would still be MAJOR redesigning and the 09 camaro is already slated for production.
