i saw a 1 legged man drive an 04 Z06 6 speed before.... he used his cane, it was really really interesting. he traded it in on an 03 vert with an auto... i dont blame him

I can agree on that. Next to a GT a ZO6 is still a Corvette just like a Cobra is still a Mustang......They are fast cars but when someone see's a car commonly on the road (no matter what trim line it is) that car tends to lose it's attention of "sticking out like a sore thumb".

 

i've heard of the infamous 11.2 run in the Z06... who the hell ran that time ? that's pretty insane. my buddy went to the track last weekend and there was one there... he was all excited to see it run. the car belongs to a guy he knows that is a regular at the track, used to run a modded low 12s LS1 camaro SS. the best he got out of about 5 runs was a 12.4 worst was a 12.7 IIRC. i instantly thought the guy couldn't drive, but like i said he's a regular at the track... but what i found most interesting is he never trapped higher than 120-121mph. the guy was really disapointed to say the least. my buddy ran him with his 90LX vert (306, with edelbrock H/I, 12lbs S-trim and custom cam) he tore him a new one, 11.7 to 12.6... now don't you GM buttheads get mad at me, i'm just reporting in what happened at the track here.

the same guy i was talking about (with the 90LX vert) just called me up and told me "i just saw a brand new saleen at the dealership for 45k.. i'm thinking of getting it" ...i told him "why don't you get a C6 instead?" ...he was like "huh ? what ?
