Default ran a trans am

yesterday i am pulling out of coborn's and this trans am early 90's style follows me all the way anto the highway, and once we are on the road i was a bit ahead of him and could see him coming up fast so i knoew it was on. he pulls up beside me and gives me the look it was an older guy like 40's anyway i heard him down shift so i dropped to 3rd and waited to let him get the hit. he gunned it and i slam the pedal down and immidiatly put a couple cars on him. by we started around 55ish and by 120 i had at least 10 cars on him i shut it down at about 155ish or so and had him by at least 15 cars i would guess. he pulls up next to me on the exit ramp and we talked for a second. i asked him what kind of power he had and he said 440. i am still not sure if he was talking about his engie size in ci or if he meant HP cuz i would have though 440rwhp would hold with me better. he said he got stuck in 3rd gear on the first run so we ran them 2 more times with about the same results. he eventually blamed his losses on his tanny and what not but we all know the truth. he done got bitten by the cobra.

trans am early 90's style
now, early '90's as in "iroc style", or early '90's as LT1 style ?? since they were made in '93(-'97)...........either way....440........im saying he was lying. either way, unless he wasnt properly tuned, wouldve been a LOT better race that what u make it sound like. oh well. nice win.

I made 393 rwhp and when I was a 6 speed would trap at 115 mph. A 440 hp f body should be at least 118 mph and should have hung with you, IF he knew how to drive, so my take is that he was full of shizz or it was really messed up. More likley he was just full of it, anybody who has a 440 hp car knows better than to race it if somthing is messed up with it. Going off your sig our cars would have been a good race, I would go low 12's (12.1 best) all day and would trap about the same as you. Just some food for thought

could be i don't know. he may have been a bit closer to me too i was just guesstimating from what i was seeing in my rearview mirrior. i think it's a local guy from princton area so maybe i can get him to run again sometime and get my buddy to video it. it;s a small town so i'll probaly see him out there again some time. the dyno #'s and track time was befor i installed the mid pipe and fluidyne exchanger too so i probaly picked up a few more ponies along the way.

The T/A guy is full of ****. This was a roll race so it does'nt take much talent to downshift and romp on it and if he had 440hp even an idiot behind the wheel would'nt have gotten beaten by 10-15 cars . Good kill in your terminator!!!! I'm sure the T/A guy knew he had no chance.

Thats OK, I switched to an auto and a 4000 stall, I run 11.80's now so we might still be a good match

i think i am going to be going to cedar falls iowa on the 14th of oct. i am hoping for high 11's. last time was my first time at the track but now with a few runs under my belt and a few more minor mods i think 11.8-11.9 is realistic. even on street tires as long as the track is good.
