Since i bought my 06 GT back in April my dad has been real jealous so he finally went out and bought him one last month. He has been trash talking me saying that he could out drive me anyday of the week because he used to drag race and all this other SH#$! Anyways i tried explaining to him that he was stock and i am modded, but he said he was still gonna walk away form me. Well on with the actual story! I was coming home on saturday night and I am cruising minding my own buisness when a car comes up beside me and downshifts. I am like oh man who wants to race! I look over and its my dad!! I look over at him and jokingly give him a thumbs down. He guns it and then i gun it! He was power shifting and i was granny shifting and i easily walked away from him. We get up to a redlight and he says "You shift way to slow am i gonna have to teach you how to race?" I said "Alright dad we are going to go from this light and i am going to show you how i race." We sit there revving back and and forth waiting for the light to turn green. I see the opposite light turning yellow so i rev up to about 3500 rpms getting ready for the launch. The light turns green and we are ***** to the wall!![sm=gears.gif][sm=burnout.gif] I get a great launch putting me about a whole car ahead and i am power shifting slamming the gears i get a good squal through second and a little chirp in third. By the time its all said and done my dad is about 3 full cars behind. We get up to a stop sign and i say "Aw damn is your son gonna have to teach you how to drive that thing!" He gave me a head shake and turned off to go home. Well i find out today that he is buying him some mods.

 

Hahaha that is sooo funny. Now this is going to turn out in a mod war to have the fastest car!!!

I raced my dad in his Grand National at the strip and beat him handily. Since then, however, he's worked out the bugs so I dunno if I could take him now.

I will definatley be posting up the continous battle of the stangs but he makes a SH#$ load more money than me so i might be on the losing end.

awesome, ive been baiting my dad to get the new camaro when it comes out so we can have the camaro mustang war right in the family. trying to get my buddy to buy one too - cant wait for all the **** talkin!!!
