Default The automatic blues

Ugh. I needs me a shift kit. Very embarassing day. As many New Edge auto stang owners know, these automatics are noisy, inconsistent piles of malarchy that royally blow 95% of the time. Im going to Taco Bell, and am following this riced out red Honda. Hes revving, tried doing a burnout but just threw the car around 'cuz of them fancy cut springs, and just looked like a dumbass. we both turn onto a four lane road, and i take the opportunity to pass him. I was doing 35mph, and literally COASTED by him and his friend. The friend yells "FLY-BY!" out the window. Thats aboot the time i go WTF? and lay on the brakes, slowing back down to drive next to him. And we just kinda cruise next to each other. I have O/D and trac off, hes cruising. I decide to floor it, and guess what? Milliseconds before i drop the hammer, he downshifts and goes ***** out, gets the jump on me and ran for maybe 30 feet(heavy traffic). What did my POS mustang do? It downshifts and justs starts throwing revs out its ***, the damn thing didnt even lurch. So I guess i lost my first race to a Honda. And I know my car is a hell of a lot faster than that pile. I hope i see him on the freeway, i really do. F*ckin Ford.

I have an automatic, and mine runs fine. What are you trying to imply?

Sucks thought that ur car just didn't go I guess. I only have respect for one civic, and thats the one I lost to because he jumped before I did by about 20 ft. Either way he had alot of stuff to his car but I cought him and stayed even with him after that...

But on with urs. Hondas are slow, and you could have takne him..

What kind of auto? It is a proven fact though, the autos in v6 stangs blow on *** unless you are going from a dig/very low roll, and the occasional awesome downshift. They're just way too economized for the car, thats why i need a shift kit. its embarassing though[:@]

I always said ever since they stopped making the C4 ford should have just payed GM to build their autos for them. Woulda saved warrenty claims and made the customers so much happier.

A shift kit is a new valve body in the auto that shifts both harder(higher PSI) and more precisely, reducing the time it takes for the automatic to perform basic functions. Yes, i AM an encyclopedia

I honestly dont know. What i do know is that im pretty tight on cash right now. Which means no more mods for the 6 banger until Xmas. But the fox will be getting some $$$ put into it, so thats OK i guess. Anyone know of a company that makes a good performance valve body, i/e shift kit? I might be able to scrape together the funds if it helps that much. At least i wont suck *** 70% of the time some douche in a Geo wants to run from a roll[&:]
