How much HP do the V6 f bodies come with anyway?
depends on what year.
I don't know a lot about the V6's, but I think the 3.4 ('93-'96, I think) was rated at 160 hp and the 3.8 has always been rated at 200. Again, I'm not positive.

what generation was it? 3rd, 4th? there are 2 choices in the 4th gen. 93-95.5 was a 3.4L ... very slow and sucky.

95.5-02 was a 3.8L which is not bad at all. can see 15's stock. I'm woking on one with a friend that is stock but for 1 thing and ran a 15.7.. I'm doing a few more things to it soon and going back to the track. after everything is done I am confident that I cna get him under a 15.5 with room to spare. and thats gonna be with under 200 bucks woth of mods. well. really under 100. you can do whatever you want to a 3.4 and they will suck. there is "some" hope fo a 3.8..

earlier years there were 2.8 and im not completely sure but maybe the camaros had the 3.1 in them cause alot of them stroke the 2.8 and 3.1 to 3.4. i used to be a 3rd gen f body man. of course till i started up my 86 mustang gt with a 347 and a c4 tranny. then i was mustangs all the way. hate f bodys now. cant stand them.

Yea those were the numbers. The 3.8L has 200hp stock. A few of these cars came stock with the y87 package. This is basically a package that consists of 3.42 gears with limited slip differential and a dual outlet exhaust. (the dual outlet w/ 2 turndowns is how you know it's a y87 package). The regular 3.8s will run from 15.9-15.7 stock. The y87s can see about mid 15s stock. There are not too many guys that go further then a full catback exhaust and intake on the 6s. Of course there are some out there but not on every street corner. On a standard 3.8L w/ 3.08 open rear it takes a hell of a lot of mods to see mid 14s. Manuals came with 3.23s. But i'll say it again. How many guys have extensively modded v6 camaros and how many guys have stock 5.0s? the amount of money they take to see mid 14s the 5.0 would see high 13s to mid 13s depending on where you spend it. The 99+ GTs are just a whle dfiferent ballgame, lol.

I beat V6 Mustangs all day long in my stock Accord
Then again, I think my car weighs slightly less (going by V8 GT's) but I also have more HP.

Stoner... I'm just wondering if you know that you still have a honda accord? You probably have a big fart can on the back of it too (if you don't i give you credit) but you still have an accord, and you also payed about 28k for it, wow.

I read your post on your opinion on rice and you claim that theres more mustnags riced than accords, which i find could be true, cause people with 6's are dumb. If your going to race (and don't say u dont care about racing otherwise u wouldnt take it to the track) why would u get a v6 non-super/turbo. You can get an 8 for about the same price.

"I beat V6 Mustangs all day long in my stock Accord " Unless you have something useful to say, most people on this board would appreciate you to keep your dumbass comments to yourself.
