Default Horrible times

I finally went to the 1/4 mile track (I always go the the 1/8 mile track due to my job) and I was disappointed with my times. The track was too sticky!!! I know this is the first time any of you have heard anybody complain about the track being to sticky but I was not the only one complaining. But I know I just need to get adjusted to this track and my times will get better. Here is a comparasion of my track times at the different track;

Irwindale 1/8 mile..........Fontana 1/4 mile
60'.............1.923..........60'...............2 .076
330'...........5.574..........330'.............5.7 77
1/8............8.596..........1/8..............8.818
mph..........81.71...........mph............81.08
...................................1000........... .11.427
...................................1/4..............13.630
...................................mph............ .102.42

This was done with mods in my sig

By the way out of the 10+ group of people that were suppose to go to California Speedway with me only I showed up[sm=boosign.gif]

I know my times were not too bad, its just that I was expecting to go faster judging by my 1/8 mile time I had two weeks ago[&o]

Those times are good, I wouldnt be disappointed with them. You have a 2v with bolt ons and DRs and are runnin mid 13's, that is very good for a 2v. Sometimes you have a pass with perfect conditions, low humidity, low 50's, thin air and a good prepped track. You cant always have this. Your times are good and I think you could shave off a few tenths with a couple suspension mods.

Yes, but the reason Im upset is because I could have gotten some good times. This was my first time to this track and it surprised the sh*t out of me on how sticky it was. On this track you are only allowed 3 runs and on the third run I Launched at 4200 rpm and it spun alittle and then bogged my car. I guess I need to learn to easy the clutch on this track.

Practice is everything when it comes to racing and getting the most out of your car. You have any suspension mods done at all? I would get lowering springs, only like 1.2-1.5" at most. Then look into upper and lower control arms, motor mounts, and possibly some shocks and struts. With these mods here, I bet you'll hit very very low 13's, maybe even 12's.

Hey! I showed up, but I got to Carl's Jr late(lazy friends that went with me couldn't wake up on time). Was my first time ever on a track, didn't want to screw up so I just babied it and ran a super $hitty time. I was so nervous I forgot to turn the traction control off. I had a 2.335 60ft and didn't redline in any gear......ran a 14.9@97mph.......but there's major room for improvement......had a blast though, everybody was super cool, no $hit talking(at least the people I spoke with) and I look forward to going again on Dec. 2. Yes, that track had some major stick.......did you notice that Ford GT run a 11.7@122? I am now looking forward to going to Irwindale to get my launches better, just scared to abuse the car(only 2000 mile on it). Any suggestions on staging shallow or deep?

Im going on dec. 2 too. We should exchange #'s before we go so we can meet up there... As for staging, if you want a faster reaction time but slower et's deep stage. If you want faster et's but slower reaction times shallow stage. So in other words, if you want to have a faster time shallow stage. The only reason to deep stage is if you are in some kind of competition. To deep stage you past the first yellow light and you go as far as you can before turning off the second yellow light. To shallow stage go up to the line and as soon as you see the first yellow light just creep up and STOP AS SOON AS YOU SEE THE SECOND YELLOW LIGHT and then enjoy
