Nice kill. And I've also heard by many people, that bolt ons for the 350Z respond less than bolt ons on a 2v. Most guys with exhaust and intake on a 350Z would be lucky to gain .1 in the 1/4. They love F/I though, so watch out for one with a turbo or S/C.

350Z's are EXTREMELY hard to make fast. They require a turbo setup. Even an SC setup is usually weaksauce for the money spent.

I would have thought you would have won by 3 or 4 cars. I'm not a huge fan of the 350Z & G35 as far as their performance goes. This is nissan's flagship car and they can usally only muster mid 14's. kinda sad. But if you want a laugh, visit their forum when you don't have anything better to do. Their kill stories are priceless and they really take alot of pride in the amount of money they spent on their fairly slow cars[:-]

Its actually alittle more common for a 350Z to run in the 13's than a 99-04 GT or even an SRT-4. They have anywhere from 287hp to 300hp stock and on avg run 14-14.1. Even the automatic Z's run low 14s because they come with a 5spd auto. Maybe mid 14's for a very sh*tty driver, but not on average.

Yea, I am guessing he had a good driver mod over you too. Stock for Stock, GT should just walk away from a 350z until 5th gear.

What MPH did you start the race and what Gear too?

As stated, Z's are pretty dang fast after 120mph, but we had a local one turn 13.9. Some girl owned it, its a 6-speed. She had a **** driver though, lol. Just saying they do run 13's and its more common than the 99-04 GT's as stated. They weigh less and most dyno 250whp. Also, build quality is an issue. The 350Z is a LOT! better built than our pony cars.
