Matthockey32, I am suprised that he beat you off the line. I'm even more suprised that you passed him on the high end. I would imagine he was bone stock or couldn't drive worth a ****. 236.7 rwhp isn't something I would brag about, so you car doesn't have as much power as the 300zx. The driver makes a huge difference and this is the perfect example. good kill though, you must be a damn good driver.

 

Hey you have any film of this V-6 mustang? Any track slips? I would like to see some dyno sheets also. What combo are you using? Sounds like a mean little 6 banger. Put up some photos and stuff. Thanks in advance.

 

Are you talking to me stinger? I don't own a v6 mustang, my wife owns an 01 cobra. I own a 1991 300zx twin turbo, I have pics but not sure how to post them on here. As of the combo I'm using I assume you mean mods? I have an HKS intake, Greddy exhaust, JWT ecu, boost jets, light weight flywheel, racing clutch, gutted precats, ultimate axis brake pads. Oh, and yes it is a mean little six banger. Size truly does not matter because our 01 cobra can't touch the 300zx. I will post pics if I find out how to do it. I also thought the guy matthockey32 raced may have been a poser and had a non-turbo Z and thats why he lost. You know, the type who put twin turbo stickers on their non-turbo cars or convert the exterior to a twin turbo on a non-turbo 300zx. The same type that put gt badges on v6 mustangs or cobra badges on gt's.

 

it had exhaust and some minor mods. and the Zs power israted at the crank, mine is at the wheels. my car has more whp than a 99+ GT. sorry, no pics and only old timeslips. a list of my mods is in the v6 section of the forum. the thread is Matthockey32 what in the world do you have in your car? my car was dynod at a private fabrication shop near my house.

 

If the Z was a twin turbo and had mods, there is no way on this earth you beat it. My Z has about 360hp at the wheels and right at 400+hp at the crank. A stock twin turbo Z has close to 265 -270 hp at the wheels. The Z's weak point is on the takeoff but late 2nd and all of 3rd is where the power is on those cars. I honestly dought a young kid could afford the insurance on a twin turbo Z. It was probably a non-turbo Z with turbo stickers and the spoiler. I will say you are a better driver than me if it truly was a TT and you smoked it. kudos

 

i could hear the turbos. and 300zx tt only dyno at around 235 to the wheels stock, 276 from the factory at the crank. it had a BOV, intake and exhaust. and i am a good driver.

 

Good job i guess... on getting your v6 more hp than stock gt. BUT why? for all the money u have into it u probably could have a gt and more.. I just dont get it.

 

I love answering these questions...soo ill answer your question with two of my own which should take care of everything. Which would you be more embarrassed to lose to: a V6 mustang or a V8. Also how many V6 stangs out there can put up #s like matthockey is doin. Mad props to anyone who can take a slower car and make it faster than a V8, anyone can make a V8 fast.

 

Like I said, it probably took more money and he could have just got a gt. #1 a v8 sounds 1000 times better EVEN if his car is faster. #2 he is done, unless he puts a blower on his car he has reached his maximum potential. All a GT has to do is throw a full exhaust on the car and once again it has more HP's than the v6 with every possible bolt on etc.

Thats the worst thing i've ever heard. Thats some kind of excuse to why u have a v6, i'm not disrespecting the 6's if you get them for the looks thats fine, but i dont see why you would by a 6 to race it (and make it faster than a v8 to embarass people)

Since you enjoy asking questions I'll ask one of my own. If a chick (or anyone for that matter) comes up to you and asks is that a v8?? And u say no its a 6, whose now more embarrased, even if it can go faster than a stock 8.

Regardless I'm not disrespecting 6's, I just want to show you how dumb your responce was.
