I'd say a 8 length beating to 100mph is a brutal rape. Hope you plan on filing charges!
You guys are being very generous, he shouldn't be deep in the 13's. The car is very capable of running low 13's, but it'll take suspension mods, tires & a launch at 4500RPMS. Without driving it like you stole it & working the suspension, it'll run high 13's with a good driver.
The F-body's drivetrain does not feel anywhere near as loose as the Mustang.

If you own a 99-04, I am still a proponent of FI, be it a Vortech or nitrous. With either one you will take down an unmodded LS1 and depending on the definition of "lightly modded", you get them too. But without FI, it's just a ton of work to get them to run low 13's.

Yeah, I'd be lucky to hit mid 13's. I doubt I can be deep into the 13's. My first time at the track with the same mods on street tires I ran a best of 14.3. I've had quite a bit of practice since then, but I'm still skeptical.

Lightly modded means full exhaust and gears to me. You will need one hell of an FI setup to beat a full exhaust/gears LS1 car. They run deep in the 12's.

Hey IHateStangs88. You're joking, right? Take a 99-04 GT and throw a Vortech on there and that's more than enough to wax you in your stock WS6. Sorry if that bothers you. Sheet, the GT 'Vert I just sold ran a 12.6 on a slipping clutch and they guy had it for all of two days when he tracked it.
Cracking on 99-04 GT's is your own business, but I guarantee you if you run into one that's supercharged he's going to stomp the crap out of you.
P.S. TommyV8 - you taking down a supercharged GT in your car when it was bone stock? Driver's race?
