Default A Perfect Tie

I was racing at the strip Sat. night. We were running time trials. Leaving heads up. A 05-06 Mustang GT was in the left lane, I was in the right. All said and done we ran the same exact time, down to the thousandth of a second. The lady that hands out the slips was like Ive been doing this forever and never saw that.

...............................Left...........Righ t
Car # .................... 366.......... 363
R/T......................... .709..........678
60'..........................2.083.........2.121
330'........................5.858.........5.889
1/8.........................8.941.........8.989
MPH........................80.20.........79.50
1000.......................11.597.......11.644
1/4........................13.883......13.883
MPH........................98.12.........100.44

My friends thought that was pretty neat, so I figured I'd share it with you.
I am still learning my car. Running Summitiomo street tires. My technique is 25 psi, spin them over in the water to clean them off, powerbrake for 5 sec to dry off the water, launch at 2500 RPM, when I feel it bite get into it. Any suggestions?

An 05-06 GT trapped 98 mph? Did you throw tacks under his tires?[sm=smiley36.gif]

no i think the 05-06 GT is on the right on the slip. If he is he is capable of much more.

Nice, judging by the trap speed, you might get him by a license plate frame about 1 mile later.

You would think with a 2.0 60ft. he would have ran a 13.6 . Dont stock S197's trap around 104-105?

Yeah I think he has it backwards.
He is saying the 05 only gained 19 on the big end, whereas his 2000 gained 21 mph up top! sounds completely backwards to me.

Go around the water unless you have slicks.
