Hey guys,
Just wanna let you guys in on a lil' race I had on Monday night.

So I was leaving work on monday night and I get onto Route. 1N in Edison. Im driving on the furthest left lane cruising at about the speed limit(maybe alittle bit over) and I notice some headlights appoaching pretty quickly and EXTREMELY close to me. At first I thought they were Cougar headlights. So I slow down considerably and give 'em the classic brake-check so they might back up a little. He then starts accelerating past me on the right and cuts infront of me. It was a Mustang, as soon as I heard it, I knew it was a 5.0.
Normally I wouldn't do anything, but something caught my eye, so I started approaching him very closely like he did to me, and got really close to his back bumper to signal a race.
I downshift, and wait for a response and that's what I get. He starts accelerating and so do I. While I was behind him, I flashed him and hit my brakes several times. It wasn't fast at all. I could've passed him easily but didn't.
Later down the road, we come up to a light and I pull up next to him. Two Youngins yelling for me to roll my window down so I did. They say to me, "Nice car". I respond pointing with my thumb to the back of their car, "Nice sticker". They then ask me if I had anything done to my car and I say, "it's stock, only three months old".
Light turns green and they proceed to peel out and take off. I resume along with traffic.

Sorry, but I suck at telling stories, so I know it might sound boring and all....oh yeah, I almost forgot. In case you guys were wondering what caught my eye, it was a Big sticker under his wing that said "If you can read this....You're an import."

I know alot of friends with Mustangs and all. Both fast and slow ones. But now, if your going to put some **** like that on your car, you better have something to back it up...especially when you call out a STOCK Evo.
LoL. Not trolling or anything, just sharing a race with you guys.

i was supposed to run an EVO 9 yesterday but he never answered the calls. he is the one who wanted the run, anyway
he laid down 322/331 on a mustang dyno before cams.
what would u expect him to run? and what are my chances?

The other day I was coming back from work and saw one of those new ponitac Solstice..or whatever those gay things are. On his lisence plate read...."IEATV8S". Pretty bold statement. Well I didn't get a chance to race him because the 55 Freeway is always packed. Im hope'n to run into him again.

Good kill!!!!! It's always nice when the car ahead of you is giving it all it's got and your off the gas as much as your on it and staying right on his ***.The sticker is a little too much for me,but I have thought about putting a "Vtec This!!!!" sticker on the Cobra.

 

Hmm, Maybe like a 12.6-12.8.

 

yeah but see, ATLEAST you have a COBRA. Honestly, If I pulled up to a Cobra with a sticker like that, it'd be a different story. I'd put my tail between my legs and dissapear in traffic. LoL

 

Hell,you don't need to run away,even stock Evo's are fast and damn tough to beat.I wouldn't really put any sticker like that on my car,my luck would be that I put the Vtec this sticker on there and the first Honda I run into is some sh_tty looking,600hp sleeper that totally kills my ***!!!!!!I would put "Mustang Killer" on the Slowbalt however.[8D][sm=joke.gif]
