my dad just bought a 99 cobra 100% bone stock and i have a friend with a 2001 camaro ss has flowmasters and thats it rest is stock. well im working on putting a race together cus i told my friend and now he wants to race my dad at the track. Who has the overall advantage in this?

 

Should be close. It could hinge on whether the SS is an auto or 6-speed. If a 6-speed, the SS has the edge. If an auto, it could go either way.

 

Stock to stock the SS will win.It would take a few bolt ons or gears and DRs to turn the tables.

 

Oh the ss is auto i never seen either one race at the track but would anyone know what kind 1/4 times these two cars might run stock?

 

The SS should run low-mid 13's stock. It has 3.23 gears and I ran 13.52 with 2.73s. My gal ran 13.36 stock with 2.73s and a 2.0 60 ft. The Flowmaster shouldn't help much.

 

Flowcrappers suck for the Camaro. I'll have to also give it to the Camaro on this one unless he sleeps at the tree.

 

I am gonna say driver race. At the track it is way too easy to spin, and these sound like some first timers!
