It doesn't really matter. So the 06+ makes more hp, they lost torque so it's all the same ****. With your "mods" I give you a slight edge when considering equal drivers. Now a sedan is nothing to worry about....

Methinx you could. I've taken manual 350Zs and G35s are a couple hundred pounds heavier.

 

If you want to beat that guy, you need to beaf up your exhaust and suspension to get a little more power and some traction. Start off with a good set of Steeda Adjustable upper and lower control arms, full length subs, nice Mickey Thompson DR's and a good exhaust system.

Then you'll whip him.

My buddy has an 05' auto, thought he could beat me I wasn't sure but, I spanked him with the mods I have which isn't much, raced twice, from a 30 mph roll and fro a dig I had a couple of car lengths by third. After we race evevn he said my car was a lot faster than his.
