Stupid Porshe Driver?
I went light-to-light against a Porshe 911. Not really racing, but I certainly surprised him.
At the next light he yells over, "I think you have a slipping belt". I'm not sure if he was being very stupid, or very clever.
I can't hear any slipping:

I didnt hear anything but it is possible that he just didnt know what a blower sounded like. To an "average" person, that sounds like a slipping belt. I believe someone on here was challeged their blown GT to a stock, NA GT or something on the basis that "that car cant be running right. You should get that squeeling checked out"
Needless to say, that didnt go great for the NA GT. hahahhahaaa
BTW, who won those runs???

At first I thought the guy was just some rich moron. Later, it occurred to me that maybe he was complimenting the sweet sound of the KB.
As far as how the run went: we just happened to be at the first light at the same time. I didn't signal for a race or anything. I just pulled off the line a little strong, he leaned on it to about half a car length ahead of me. I went to 1/2 throttle, and he really jumped on it... so I dropped the hammer and spun the tires @ 70mph (third gear AOD). Got off it right after that, since the next light was coming up fast.

Yea, I would take it as a compliment, and trust me, he was a rich idiot and he was complimenting you [8D]
Did you do a 4v conversion or did you totally swap out the motor for a Cobra motor?
I already had a Cobra short-block on my 2v setup, and I found a guy to sell me the rest from a Cobra pull-out. I would have been cheaper to buy a Cobra crat motor with a Whipple already on it $15k plus install.
