I was crusing down the access road last ngiht about to merge onto the highway and my friend notices this mustang gt with some big @$$ pipes out the back end. He tells me that if I could get him to race me he'd buy me a tank of gas, I was all for it since I was on a quarter.

Anyways, I got next to him and couldn't get him to race for the life of me...sad to tell you the truth. But then when I thought I would just be on my way, this other mustang flies past me WTF? So I gave my friend a look and sped up to catch him.... It didn't take too long to get to him, so I just got into the lane next to him. What do you know!!! It was a Roush and I had yet to race one yet. He gives me a look and then points his finger forward like he wants to race, I was all for it.

First Race: 60-120 Gave three honks and we both punched it. I started off in fourth gear for some odd reason and almost lost him off the start. So I quickly downshifted and caught up to him with ease. Shifted into fourth gear and just blew past him. I didn't see him in any of my mirrors for a few seconds but my friend said he was a good few cars behind when I finally let off.

Second race: 40-120 This one was going to be my race. Started off in second and gave three honks. I took off and left him behind trying to catch up the whole time. Got to 120 and noticed he was like six cars behind me. Kinda weird if you ask me.

Anyways, we stopped in a parking lot and talked for a bit. His was a stage one so I'm guessing that's just a appearance package or something like that. He asked me what was done to mine and the same for him. He had an intake and an exhaust. The guy was pretty cool asked me if I go out to the track often or not and then we were both off on our own seperate ways.

I don't normally street race, but I just couldn't help do it for a free tank of gas. Wouldn't you?

 

Damn those gears do that much to where you walked him by 6 lengths? Was his car a automatic? Are you sure it was a V8 lol

 

Sadly his was an auto, waste of money IMO. I can't see spending that much to get a Roush and get it in auto. And yes, it was a v8

 

Oh ok then. Honestly if you don't get a Stage 3 Roush it just isn't worth it. Who knows how much extra you pay for just some minor mods. The Stage 1/2 come with that lame front bumper anyway as opposed to the Stage 3 bumper I have

 

stage one is a freaking V-6 with the looks.... nothing else....

 

i'm pretty sure a stage 1 is a GT with a kit, quote me otherwise if I'm wrong.

Thank you, I just didn't know what that guy was smoking. I know for a fact that Roush's are v8's my friends neighbor has the stage 3, I know that that has some modifications to the engine and suspension, but I'm not too sure what else. Almost had to put that guy in his place [&:]

 

Stage 3 is supercharged.

 

I'm pretty sure you can get a Stage 1 V6
