06 GT vs C6

06 GT vs C6
today driving home from school I noticed this C6 white corvette driving really aggressivily behind me with a middle aged man behind the wheel. he pulls up behind me tailgating me trying to pass. (other lane was blocked) I speed up a little so he can get around and he starts to pass me on the right. as soon as he starts to pass, his front bumper at my door, i punch it, so does he at almost the exact same time. I am in 2nd gear at about 25mph. since I punched it first he fell back to my rear bumper, but quickly brought his nose up to my door again, I then shifted to third and pushed him back to my rear bumper, about halfway through third I slowed down for traffic (so did he). He went on ahead past me, and wouldnt look over as he drove by. His license plate said "c six". An suv pulled up behind me who was apparently watching with a big smile and a thumbs up for me, I returned it and went on my way. I thought I would have taken him harder than that. Oh well, I'm still happy to have beaten a c6 vette from a roll. They are quicker than I thought though.

I dont think thats the case Mr. Rogers. The mustang IS faster, but the vette is a far more refined vehicle that excells in more areas than one. I know I would never trade my WS.6 for a 11 second pinto, for example (extreme though it may be).

I know a thing or two about Vettes. What I am saying is that a guy with some know-how and creativity will always have a better chance than some bozo with $$$. Most of my buddies with Vettes couldn't even tell you what a pulley is. Or what the difference between a wet-shot or dry shot is. I feel sorry for them..

Thats a good question. There is not a huge difference in the drag coefficient between both cars. But with over 140rwhp over the C6 I would assume that his stang has the top end too. However the C6 did hold it's own despite the HP disadvantage.... he also has 4.10s...So long run term I would go with the Vette. but it will be playing catch up.
