From what I read the ls2 will be one of 2 v8 engines available. Check out camaro5.com. I found the specs on google.

things change alot when a car is in pre production, i wouldnt get my hopes up or even bother right now, wait till late 07, THEN start to care.

Dealers are taking deposits, but that does not mean the engine options a writtin stone.
